Business Intelligence (BI)
Business Intelligence

A report should answer a question, not just display numbers

I build BI from indicator logic through to the dashboard. We agree what a number means and how it is calculated before deciding how it should look on screen.

When this becomes a problem

Business Intelligence (BI)

Every report tells a different story

The same indicator is calculated from different sources or with different rules.

Excel has become part of the architecture

Critical calculations live in manual files and refreshing a report depends on one person.

There is a dashboard but no decision

The screen is full of metrics, yet leadership still needs a separate explanation before acting.

What we work on

What the work covers

The work starts with the indicator, not the chart. Source, formula, period, grain, owner and quality checks come first. That is what makes BI stable.

  • Define indicators, formulas, sources and aggregation rules.
  • Normalise Excel and other inputs into analysis ready tables.
  • Build the data model, Power Query, DAX and semantic layer.
  • Design executive and operational dashboards plus print ready reports where needed.
  • Add data quality checks before refresh and make numbers reproducible.
